First v Guildford City 6-0

Balham produced possibly their best all round performance of the season to blitz and blow away Guildford City on their home patch on a mild November Wednesday evening. It took until early into the second half to breach the Guildford dam but once a crack appeared it soon burst wide open and Balham poured through plundering at will. Both Ibrahim Olutade and Anis Nuur got braces before being substituted and wrapped in cotton wool. James Adebayo, who replaced Olutade, took less than a minute to score Balham’s fifth and Arsen Ujkaj added a sixth from the penalty spot. This performance was pleasing not only because of the glut of goals scored but equally because of the clean sheet achieved. Everyone played their part to the best of their ability on what proved to be a night to savour.
