Balham ended up sweeping aside a well organised Forest Hill Park in their first ever foray in the FA Vase. Although they only had a fine strike from Tomasz Wocial, at the end of some fine football, to show for their dominance at half time, they remained patient and diligent and as the game wore on and the opposition were worn down further goals followed. Ibrahim Olutade kept up his record of one goal in every competitive game so far this season before Wocial struck another belter. Anis Nuur then scored a sweet curling first time shot, following a dummy from Arsen Ujkaj on the edge of the FHP penalty area, before Jerome Boncoeur came off the bench, in the dying embers of the game, to add a supreme gloss to an already glossy finishing score line. Having had a bye in the first qualifying round this win, in the second qualifying round, means Balham are through to the first round proper on October 21st, when previous Vase winners, Deal Town, will be visiting the Wibbandune.
