Firsts v Godalming Town 3-1

Balham put on a fine midweek display to defeat a well organised Godalming Town, who looked a lot better than their current league position suggests. Goals from Ibrahim Olutade, Arsen Ujkaj and a collectors item header from silky number ten, Thomas Fosse, were the deciding factors in an entertaining encounter. Although debutant keeper, Michael Neish, had to make one outstanding save in the first half, the home side were always in control. No game has been won though until it’s been won and when Godalming got a goal back at 2-0 down, late in the game, a few nerves set in. They were relieved however very soon afterwards when Fosse, the floppy haired Frenchie, arrived late in the box to deliver his collectors item.
