FROM THE DUGOUT – 23 NOVEMBER

Guildford_0865

After winning three games on the bounce it was incredibly frustrating to come back down to earth with a bang last Saturday at home to Guildford City. It was a game that we should have won and would have done had we not missed clear cut chances to score, had two attempts cleared off the line, had other chances very well saved by an excellent keeper and given away a needless penalty, totally against the run of play. Should and would are words of no consolation though. All that matters, in the final analysis, is who won the game and got the points and very disappointingly, on this occasion, it was our visitors from twenty miles down the A3 who gathered up all three of them. We’ll be hoping for better this afternoon as we welcome Knaphill to The Wibbandune however we know full well that it won’t be easy. No games are in the CCL Prem.
