It was very disappointing to get knocked out of The FA Cup on Saturday in a game that I feel we should have done better in. We paid for a lacklustre start in which we were bullied and not allowed to get into our stride. We weren’t at our best on the day and perhaps the occasion got to some of our players but we still had enough chances to come back from the early two goal deficit. There’s no time to dwell on our first defeat of the season however as we are back in action tonight, only 72 hours later, with the first Landlords v Tenants derby of the season. We know from previous experience that we’ll face a tough challenge against Colliers Wood Utd, with whom we ground share and whose staff know a lot about our club. The games between us are normally unpredictable affairs and it would be dangerous to second guess what may occur on Tuesday evening. Let’s just hope it’s a post Bank Holiday humdinger on the A3 Southbound.
